Ask yourself questions such as ‘if presented the choice, would i rather go out with friends or go to the gym?’ Questions like these will help you see how you rank your values.
Once you have them listed you will be able to easily tell what you value. Knowing this you can then reorder your values into the order that would improve your life the most. The more honest you are with yourself upfront the easier it will be to see what you need to change.
What is one thing that if you did consistently would reshape your life?
We all know that we need to eat healthy, exercise more, or work more on our education or side business. But what would be the one most important thing, that if you did every day, would compound and reshape your life?
By isolating the one small thing you need to be doing every day that will change your life in the long term is a great way to see the bigger picture. Instead of focusing on a billion different things you should be doing, picking one makes it feel more manageable.
Ask yourself how you can fit it into your schedule? What are the 1 month and 1 year and 10 year improvements you will be able to see from doing it? Whats stopping you from doing it every day? Why is it important to you?
These questions will help you figure out your priority and how exactly you can fit it into your routine. Also outlining the bigger picture will help you understand the importance of what you are doing and what you will miss out on if you don’t.

Literally everyone has a bad habit they know they need to break. Journaling can help you define your worst habits and how they are affecting your life.

You may think that success means money and power, but to be honest, that’s not really what will ultimately make you happy in the long term. By journaling you can work through your own personal definition of success which will help you find your path in life.
When you know what you want as your end goal, it’s easier to make choices that will get you there. Think of life as a road trip, if you don’t have an end destination or a roadmap of how to get there, you really wont get very far or end up somewhere you didn’t want to be.
Truly sitting down and working through your definition of success will take a huge load off of your shoulders and make you feel more free in a lot of ways. It will help you make correct choices about your friends, relationships, career, etc.
Btw success can mean anything to you. It doesn’t just mean making a lot of money. What do you want to do with the money you make? What kind of family do you want to have? Those are all questions that will help you define your version.

Life gets busy, what are you doing thats just for you? Journal about your favorite hobbies, ask yourself if you are giving yourself enough time to do what you love. Define what it is you love to do exactly.
Years ago when I started journaling, I asked myself this very question and realized just how much time I spend just sitting around watching TV or being on my phone. And while those things are fun to do, they become super repetitive and wont make you feel all that good.
Journal about what you enjoy doing and how you can make it a bigger part of your life. Figure out routines to implement to give yourself time for self-care in every area of your life. Doing so will greatly help you understand yourself and reset your life for the better.

Journaling about your most ideal productive daily routine has numerous benefits to resetting your life and putting yourself on track. It’s tFself fhe best way to gain clarity on your goals and aspirations and focus on your true priorities.
Start with journaling about what your day currently looks like, what do you like about it, what do you want to change? What habits are you noticing that are good, and which ones are bad? By thinking through what you value most, it becomes clear what you must do daily to reach your goals.
Think through your most ideal productive day. The key here is to make it realistic. If you currently spend your time watching TV all day, it may not be realistic to put running a 5k every day. Start small, and add to your goals later. And don’t forget to add fun, self-care, and time to relax into your schedule!
Pretend you're 60, what does your life look like? Now go back every decade and write out how you will get there.
This is honestly the most powerful journaling prompt to reset your life. And it’s so simple to do!
Start by imagining yourself at 60. What does your ideal life look like? How much money do you have? Where have you traveled? What was your career? Do you have kids? What was the most important thing you did in your life? Be as micro as you possibly can. It may be hard to imagine especially when you are young, but try to be as specific as you can.
Next write about what your life looks like at 50. What have you done by 50 to live the life you have imagined at 60? Once again, be as specific as you can. What is your career? What are your values?
Next, repeat the same thing for 40, 30, 20… what are you doing right now to get to the life you imagine for yourself when you are older. This will paint you a roadmap of what you must be doing now in your life to get to what you imagined for yourself at 60. It can also reveal to you what you value.
Obviously as time goes on, your perception of your ideal life will change. That’s okay. It’s just a great way to start envisioning your life, and your priorities and point yourself in the right direction right now in order to fulfill your lifelong dreams.

While setting goals for yourself is important, the thing most people miss when setting goals is asking themselves why. Why do you want to achieve your goals? If you don’t know your why, it’s a billion times easier to fall off a productive path.

A lot of the time we set arbitrary goals like losing weight or working on a business to get rich without understanding why it truly is that we want these things. For example, why do you want more money? Is it to travel? To help your family? To be in control?

Working on yourself really starts with gratitude. Once you start looking at your life as something to be extremely grateful for, it becomes so much harder to take your life for granted.
Make it a habit to start listing as many things you are grateful for every morning. I personally have a dedicated notebook and do this every morning. It doesn’t take long and will set you up for a good start to your morning. List the big things first—the obvious ones such as being grateful for your family, friends, work, education, etc.
And then list off 10 small things in your life that you are grateful for. Ones you wouldn’t necessarily think of right off the bat. Such as having good coffee in the morning, or your favorite soft blanket.
Doing so will retrain your brain to start looking at all of the small things you take for granted every day. Things that just feel so normal. The more you start appreciating everything in your life, the sooner your mindset will change for the better. You will start seeing all of the good, and all of the potential in the world. And that truly is the most powerful way to reset your life.
